Queen Letizia of Spain rewears her most ‘perfect’ dress – but this time without tiara

Queen Letizia stunned in a floor-length gown from Carolina Herrera, one of her favourite designers. The Spanish royal donned that same navy dress in 2017 during a state visit to the UK.

Queen Letizia combined the stunning navy dress with Jimmy Choo stilettos and a very stylish gold clutch bag from Magrit.

For jewellery, the monarch sported a pair of elegant sapphire drop earrings and a matching bracelet.

Queen Letizia doesn’t normally wear bracelets but this sapphire piece was the perfect choice to complement her glamorous look tonight.

The spectacular earrings actually belong to her mother-in-law, Queen Sofia of Spain, who often loans Letizia some of her most valuable jewels.

Back in 2017, Queen Letizia and King Felipe visited the UK and attended a lavish banquet at Guildhall, in London.

The Spanish monarch chose the long blue gown which draped beautifully, enhancing her slender silhouette.

She accessorised the look with the Spanish Floral Tiara, a piece made in 1962 at the request of Francisco Franco.

He gave it as a gift to Princess Sofia of Greece and Denmark, Queen Letizia’s mother-in-law, on her marriage to Prince Juan Carlos of Spain.

In recent years, the tiara has been worn almost exclusively by Queen Letizia but it is unknown if the diadem has been gifted or merely loaned.

Her sister-in-law Infanta Cristina wore the sparkler, featuring three five-petaled diamond flowers connected by a garland of diamond leaves and foliage, on her wedding day in 1997.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia presided over the celebration of the 175th anniversary of the Circulo del Liceo with the Minister of Culture and Sport, in Barcelona.

The Circulo del Liceo is a private, English-style club with a unique artistic heritage and nearly 1,000 members located at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, one of the most famous theatres in the city.

The club offers conference rooms, a library, restaurants and many other services to its members in the emblematic building.
